TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 75

ROADS REGULATIONS 1994, ARTICLE12

Subject:            Temporary Road Closures for the Athlone Operational Area from Tuesday June 2nd to Friday June 5th, 2026.

I wish to inform you that Roscommon County Council has decided to temporarily close the following roads at various times over the course of the dates noted (Tuesday June 2nd to Friday June 5th, 2026) in order to facilitate necessary road improvement works. 

• L-7111-0 Ardkeel, Co. Roscommon. (Diversion - R-366, N-63, L-7109, L-7112)
• L-7110-0 Ballybride/Carrownabrickna Co. Roscommon. (Diversion - R-366, L-7109, L-1809)
• L-6660-0 Emlaghroyin Co. Roscommon (No diversion – Cul de Sac road)

Diversions will be in place (see attached maps).  As a consequence, there may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads. Emergency Services and local access only will be accommodated.

Works are being carried out by the Athlone Operational Area.
