Ballyleague North and Harbour Conservation Plan

The Ballyleague Village Renewal & Tidy Towns Committee under the Heritage Management Grant Scheme 2014, administered by the Heritage Council commissioned Sweeney Architects to complete a study of Ballyleague North and Harbour. There are two buildings of significance within the subject area which require urgent attention. This project was to inform the works and to examine the potential of the area. The final report is available for download below. This report provides a comprehensive conservation masterplan of the village, including an integrated layout and appraisal of the heritage and historical buildings in the village. This document will be used as a signpost for future projects and specifically provide a detailed phased plan of action and specification details / drawings to restore the two local monuments.

In addition, some excerpts of the report have been recorded so that you can listen to some background information on the various points of interest as you wander around the village.
