TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 75

ROADS REGULATIONS 1994, ARTICLE12

Subject:            Temporary Road Closure for the Athlone Operational Area from Wednesday 7th October 2026 to Tuesday 13th October 2026.

I wish to inform you that Roscommon County Council has decided to temporarily close the following road at various times over the course of the dates noted (Wednesday 7th October 2026 to Tuesday 13th October 2026) in order to facilitate necessary road improvement works. 

• R-363 Cam, Brideswell, Athlone, Co. Roscommon. (Diversion – L-2015, L-2013, R-362)

Diversions will be in place (see attached maps).  As a consequence, there may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads. Emergency Services and local access only will be accommodated.

Works are being carried out by the Athlone Operational Area.
