TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 75

ROADS REGULATIONS 1994, ARTICLE12

Subject:            Temporary Road Closures for the Athlone Operational Area from Monday April 20th to Friday April 24th, 2026.

I wish to inform you that Roscommon County Council has decided to temporarily close the following road at various times over the course of the dates noted (Monday April 20th to Friday April 24th, 2026) in order to facilitate necessary road improvement works. 

• L-2043-0 Clooneen (Beagh) Ballinasloe, Co. Roscommon. (Diversion - R-446, L-2032, L-2031)

Diversions will be in place (see attached maps).  As a consequence, there may be an increased likelihood of delays on these roads. Emergency Services and local access only will be accommodated.

Works are being carried out by the Athlone Operational Area.
