ROAD WORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER No. 2 of 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004, SECTION 10

 Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004 that Roscommon County Council has made a Road Works Speed Limit Order to apply a Speed Limit as set out in the schedule below at the locations as set out in the schedule below.

Reduction in speed limit from 100km/h to 60km/h at the specified locations for the duration of the works. The reduced speed limit will apply only at locations where road works are in operation and will be implemented on a rolling basis in line with the progression of the works along the route.

  The Road Works Speed Limit Order is to facilitate road improvement works and applies from 7th July 2026 to 06th July 2027. The Chief Executive shall have regard to any representations that are made to him in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
