Winter Water Conservation Notice - Water Connections and Meters

  • Roscommon County Council and Veolia Water Ireland wish to advise landowners and property owners to turn off their water connections at the stopcock if they are not using the water supply in order to prevent leaks during spells of cold weather.
  • Farmers should consider turning off supplies to water troughs when removing livestock from any land not in use over the winter period.
  • All customers should check their meter once they turn back on the supply to ensure that no leaks have occurred.
  • Customers are reminded that they are responsible for all water flowing through the meter.
