IPB PRIDE OF PLACE COMPETITION 2026

Co-operation Ireland, its local authority partners and its headline sponsor, IPB Insurance are proud to present the prestigious Pride of Place Competition for the 24th consecutive year. The purpose of the competition is to acknowledge the work being done every day by communities all over the island of Ireland.  The nomination process is through Roscommon County Council only.

Roscommon County Council would like to invite communities to participate in the County Roscommon Pride of Place Competition 2026.  Category winners will be nominated by Roscommon County Council to the All-Island Pride of Place Competition organised by Co-Operation Ireland.  Pride of Place is about the celebration of community group’s contribution to local society and the creation of civic pride through communities working together.

 Closing date for receipt of community group nomination to Roscommon County Council is Friday 1st May 2026.

 Closing date for Roscommon County Council to submit its Summary Form Application is the Friday 5th June 2026.

This competition is open to all communities in County Roscommon.  Applications received from different groups in the same area may be treated as one.  Groups should, where possible, work together and submit one joint application.
