Adopt a Road Scheme 2026

The aim of the Adopt a Road Scheme is to highlight and combat the problem of roadside litter which is extremely unsightly. 

Roscommon County Council’s current Litter Plan promotes the working together of the Council and local communities in developing initiatives to address the problem of litter.   Roscommon County Council intends to continue to promote the Adopt a Road Scheme in 2026. 

Tidy Towns and Community groups are invited to apply to participate in this initiative and applications will be shortlisted for participation in 2026.

Applications must be submitted for the Adopt Scheme through Roscommon County Council “My Online Services” at:
