Announce Community Fund to Support Tidy Towns and Local Environmental Action

About the Fund

The IPB Insurance & Local Government Ireland Community Fund, also known as the Local Environmental Action Fund (LEAF), is a national partnership between IPB Insurance and Ireland’s 31 local authorities. Through the initiative, Roscommon County Council will make approximately €100,000 available to local Tidy Towns groups, Residents’ Associations and other eligible community organisations for projects focused on environmental enhancement, biodiversity and climate action.

The fund forms part of IPB Insurance’s centenary year, celebrating 100 years of partnership with local authorities in supporting and protecting communities across Ireland.

Reflecting a shared commitment to empowering communities to improve their local environment, the fund will support Tidy Towns committees, Residents’ Associations and voluntary groups registered with the Public Participation Network (PPN). It also encourages collaboration with schools, sports clubs and other local organisations under the theme 'Communities Working Together for Climate'.
