Grants for the Conservation of Protected Structures


Applications are invited for the Conservation Grants Scheme for the year 2010.

The purpose of this scheme is to assist the owner or occupier of a Protected Structure to undertake necessary works to secure the conservation of the structure.

Under the scheme, grants up to 50% of the approved cost of conservation works, subject to a maximum of €13,000 (and €25,000 in special circumstances) may be awarded. Roscommon County Council will prioritise applications for grants on the basis of criteria established by it. The focus will be on works of repair and consolidation to authentic historic fabric.

Completed grant applications should be marked "Conservation Grants" and sent to the Planning Section, Roscommon County Council, Golf Links Road, Roscommon by 4.30 p.m. Friday, 26th March 2010.
