Roscommon Leisure Centre was officially opened on Monday 15^th April, 2002, by the Minister for Tourism, Sport & Recreation Dr. James McDaid T.D.

The new leisure centre is built on the site of the old swimming pool which was opened in 1973. The cost of the project is in the region of €6m . A grant of €3.81m was provided by the Department of Tourism Sport & Recreation and funded from the National Development Plan.

The complex comprises:

25m Deck Level Pool
Learner Pool
Luxurious Changing Rooms
Fully equipped Gymnasium
Aerobics Facility
Circuit Training
Resistance training
Free weights Area
Sauna
Steam Room
Sunbed
Spectator Gallery
Coffee Dock
Extensive Car Parking Area
