A number of custom 'points of interest' (POI) files are available for download from the links below. These are available for both Garmin and Tom Tom devices. Simply click on the on the name of the file of interest and save the file to your computer. Note that these files were last updated in 2009.

Uploading Garmin files to your Sat Nav device

Once the selected GPI file is saved to your computer connect your Garmin device to you computer using the USB cable provided. Then simply copy the GPI file to the relevant POI directory on the Garmin device. When you next turn on the device the new POI category(s) should be available through the "Custom POIs" menu option.

Upload Tom Tom files to your Sat Nav device

Before copying the downloaded file to your Tom Tom device you must first unzip the file. You can do this using WinZip, or some other application that handles zip files. By unzipping the file this will result in 2 files of the same name, one an .OV2 file and the other a .BMP file. Next connect your Tom Tom device to your computer using the USB cable provided. Then copy the 2 files to the relevant directory on the Tom Tom device where the POI files are to be stored and next time you turn the device on the new POI category should be available for selection.
