TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

 ROADS ACT 1993, SECTION 75

ROADS REGULATIONS 1994, ARTICLE12

Roscommon County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to close the road referred to hereunder for the period and the reason specified.

Road to be closed: The L-6097-0 at Ballinafad will be closed for a section of 500 metres between its junction with the L-1425-25 at Ballybeg and its junction with the L-6097-59 at Cornashinnagh.

Alternative Routes: Traffic will be diverted (Signage will be in place).

Period of Closure: The 05^th of April 2021 until the 30^th of April 2021.

Reason for Road Closure:  

Laying of water mains along the public road in the Townland of Ballinafad as part of the Mid-Roscommon Group Water Scheme pipe laying Contract.

All necessary approach signage and diversion signage will be used at the required locations as per Traffic Management Plan.

Residents will be contacted and notified directly by the Contractor in advance of the closure. Closures will be phased to ensure minimum disruption to locals. Maps showing proposed closure/diversions are available on www.roscommoncoco.ie
