Proposed Residential Development at Bri an Caoilinn traveller accommodation site, Harristown Td., Castlerea, Co Roscommon. The Proposed Development will comprise of Conversion of 4 no. single storey 1-bedroom semi-detached units into 2 No. single storey 5-bedroom detached units. Works to include alterations to internal layout, demolition of existing chimney, alterations to front/rear elevations/services to suit, and all associated site development works.
An appropriate assessment screening report and environmental impact assessment screening report of the proposed development has been completed and is available for inspection with this development. The reports concluded that a full EIAR is not required and that the development does not need to proceed to Stage 2 appropriate assessment. Where any person considers that a development proposed to be carried out would be likely to have significant effects on the environment, he or she may, at any time before the expiration of 4 weeks beginning on the date of publication of the notice referred to in Article 81(2), apply to An Bord Pleanala for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have such effects.
Plans and Particulars of the proposed development may be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy for a period of 4 weeks from 16/10/2020 during public opening hours at the offices of the Housing Department, Aras an Chontae, Roscommon County Council, Roscommon.
A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made, in writing or via email before 1pm on 27/11/2020, marked “Bri an Caoilinn Traveller Housing Development” and submitted to:
