Community Involvement Scheme 2022 - 2023
The Community Involvement Scheme (CIS) is a joint approach between the Council and local communities, for the purpose of carrying out maintenance and improvement works on suitable local and regional roads.
The Scheme, which is funded by the Department of Transport, will be based on a minimum community contribution of either 10% or 20% for eligible works, including general maintenance, drainage works, pavement works and footpaths, based on the criteria below:
- Where the local community contribution is monetary a minimum contribution rate of 10% will apply;
- Where the local community contribution comprises works the minimum contribution rate will be 20%;
The Department of Transport has invited local authorities to apply for funding for the years 2022 and 2023. Roscommon County Council invites Expressions of Interest from householders and land owners on local and regional roads who wish to participate in the Community Involvement Scheme.
